The Harmony House Foundation's Goals & Requirements
Our organization takes a progressive approach to the recovery process. We have developed a phase program that helps each resident focus on essential, universal life skills that are pivotal to leading an independent life. We realize that most people are at different spots in their recovery and require personalized objectives to build a solid foundation for the new life they are creating. Our program also includes individualized goals are developed between the house manager and the resident that are reviewed weekly. Many residents have areas such as: custody, legal, mental health, and family issues that need attention. Resources, guidance, and support are provided throughout the resident's journey to completing all of their goals.
The Harmony House Foundation centers our program around goal development for several reasons: |
The broader concept of learning to balance all these elements is to improve our quality of life. Our residents utilize all the tools learned along their journey and sustained-long term recovery will begin to occur naturally. We break old, unhealthy cycles of addictive habits, we learn to self-soothe and we find ourselves no longer running to drugs and alcohol for a synthetic sense of relief and peace. We start taking the steps necessary on our journey to recovery and gain the knowledge on how to achieve a natural peace of mind.
